For both children and adults, this brilliant recording tells the story of Babar, the little elephant who lost his mother. Set to music by french composer Francis Poulenc between 1940 and 1945, this is a beautiful piece of art. The CD features Eva-Maria May and Alexander Wienand on piano and Stefan Wilkening, Julien Thorel and Norman Shetler as narrator.

Special thanks go to Martin Rowson for giving us permission to use his caricature image of Francis Poulenc as the CD cover.
